Two Houses In Anixi by React Architects

The lot is located on the outskirts of Athens. With an area of 1,000 m2 and southern orientation. The project is based on two private homes with basement and courtyard. The houses are located in such a way to ensure your privacy.

The construction process consisted of a metal structure supported on concrete walls. The roof is coated with zinc and glass windows give way to the front. Designing the two residences as an entity was the challenge of the study.

The synthetic design principles are:

* Dissolution of boundaries between lived space and the natural, unifying the indoor market with surrounding space.

* Organization between private and common spaces through the use of the concrete wall that connects the two sides of the building. Creating a unique geometry, using metal construction. Different views both inside and outside the building through openings that fit in the metal roof.
