The Swollen Wall by Paul Caudami


The Swollen Wall is designed by Paul Caudami, French designer. The Swollen Wall, a 17m long bookshelf with 20×20cm squared grid, from floor to top and Its depth variates according to its use. This grid is match with pocket book format and flexible enough to enlarge for bigger formats or objects. You can put speakers, umbrellas, A4 files, vases, etc. For a mini bar, a dressing and devices storage, you can use a closed storage blocks. It can built in two main load-bearing walls. Above walls, through the bedroom’s dressing and can either create a hall area in the entrance, or spread on the corner walls of the office room which accommodates a guest bedding under the elevated desk platform. The bookshelf is either cut either swollen by virtual spheres thanks to digital manipulations. Its unite with around the area and and interacts with the objects.
