The competition sought to design a building with intent to be constructed and conceptually representing the historic event. In addition to stand out for being a work that makes a difference in the city , both in its architecture , functionality and visual perception.

Duda.
Today , the first of September have been announced the winners of this competition , the study Kwadrat Architektoniczne. Here we present the failure of the proposal. The jury ruled in favor of this proposal mainly because I believe that a work with these characteristics meet the conditions to become an iconic work for the city of Gdansk.
The design of simple lines and colors blend a contemporary proposal with the history of the city. His sculptural forms emerging from the ground to the sky reflect the drama of the past and hope for the future. Its geometry is easily recorded in the retina of visitors making their trip a memorable experience. Its interior layout allows for a multiplicity of functions, offering great space for exhibitions both permanent and others more flexible. In addition, public spaces have the potential to reunite families and tourists among others.
