On the outskirts of Newfoundland, Canada, is the Fogo Island, a place where the strong waves and wind are common in the environment. The insular nature has made the people of Fogo maintain a very traditional and proper character for decades. Fogo Island is a place where the landscape becomes essential. Each inhabitant lives in constant contact with him. The Fogo Long Studio, is presented as the first in a series of structures financed by a foundation, which aims to preserve the identity of the construction and above all, take advantage of the stunning scenery.

These projects are part of a program to promote the arts emerged in 2010, which have in common to be small and built structures in remote parts of the island. The Long Fogo Studio has 120 m2 and its concept responds to climate stations. This study is distributed horizontal and linear form three distinct spaces. The open, but covered represents spring. The central part that gives more exposed and is open primarily to maximize daylight temperatures and summer. The final and main part of this structure is completely covered to protect users, however, holding some views that connect at all times in the spaces with the landscape.

The linear space of the interior has a full flow, maximizing the size also. Large windows and openings in heaven maximize the entry of sunlight. The more private spaces and storage were grouped at one end in order to maintain a smooth and clean in the reading of space. While one part is kept on a concrete foundation, which is close to the ocean gets up on wooden pillars.
