This is the architectural design of photography studio, specialize in food photography, emerged from a national competition held in StudioMK27. The team divided into three groups who work on the development of different ideas for a day. From these early sketches, there was a new project, on the one hand, was a synthesis of all the drawings and on the other, a completely new project.

In the final design, the site divided lengthwise into two design. The northern part of 7.2 meters wide and 43.5 long, reserved for a large garden. This space functions as an internal concourse building. The south side, 12.2 wide and 43.5 meters long, was build entirely and contains the program of study.

The entrance is through the garden: large metal sliding doors open in its entirety, creating a continuity between the central space and outer space. The main area of ??study interrupt by a concrete walkway suspend from the ceiling. This element connects two wooden boxes and set up a general view of interior.

Downstairs, the first volume of timber, near the parking lot, is the reception area and room for image processing and, on the first floor is a work room lit by an interior courtyard. The second volume, on the ground floor houses shops and art kitchen, which prepares food for the photos and, on the first floor is a processing of the images.

On the upper floor, plus a wood deck, there are social area for receptions. This is a large open kitchen, the meals prepare in the right of the counter. One of the principles of the original architecture of the building was to create a complete path, passing through the gateway and the main areas of study before reaching the superior cuisine. In this way, visitors become familiar with the workplace, although the study is not running. For this project, StudioMK27 tried to use materials and industrial facilities. All exterior finishes are metal in the interior finishes are a mix of metal and wood, heated helping the environment.

This study is also a commentary on the historical relationship between the Brazilian and Japanese architecture, two productions to this day, maintain a national identity. Contemporary Japanese architects are inspired not only in modern architecture from Japan, but also in modern architecture in Brazil. Scada project incorporates the main lessons of the Brazilian architecture produced between 30 to 60, plus some teachings of the present Japanese architecture, which in turn was influenced by the Brazilian production.
