In December 2010 was completed this small church in Australia, which is composed of three volumes escenacialmente intertwined that metaphorically symbolizes the Holy Trinity.
These three bodies are arranged strategically to align with the best views of the surrounding landscape and are differentiated by their height, materials and colors. Two of them contain different programs, while the third unifies them in a central circulation.
The chapel is oriented in an east-west with a southern wall of glass that has as background the distant views across the valley and mountains. This window allows the entry of the morning sun to double-height space where Mass is celebrated.
Outwardly, this wall is like a mirror reflective material that keeps the interior space and privacy to reflect the landscape in the building, offering a striking contrast material into a more urban setting well.
How many cars go through a nearby road, a large cross color appears as the first object that can be seen amid the green surroundings. At night the building disappears into the darkness and the cross seems to float on the night of Kinglake.
