Sports Centre and Swimming Pool by Iñaki Alday and Margarita Jover

Vertical overlap pool, sports hall and gym in a small urban lot size for the size of the pieces to be placed. A dark concrete volume, compact, rugged on the outside and bright, empty, smooth inside, dug and torn to allow light into the large spaces within it.

The pools are located underground, open to an empty yard to the south facade and into the playground of the school you are playing; on them, the arena, with a view outside through the same patio. Between the trusses cover the track are inserted, alternate, gyms, forming a frieze of solid and empty, visual relationships between them and the track itself. In the mezzanine balcony that arise in the heights of pools and stand, respectively, access and cafeteria or the stands and offices.

The core communication and access, is at the pinnacle of the site, at the confluence of the streets, the costumes of the three uses are developed along the west façade. One material, concrete dyed black, is the exterior and interior walls and pavements of the road. The floorings, pots of bright green pools, sports court and fitness orange blue colored light in space.
