The house is located in Burow, a village near Krakow, Poland. The land is located on a southern slope which descends gently into a valley, a feature of the landscape of the region.
The project’s main idea was to create a contemporary interpretation of the dwelling unit in the region of Ma?oplska. In an attempt to achieve this, we have simplified the form of local buildings, through a search to clean the edges of the volume. The materials of the facade were restricted to Siberian larch and glass. The retaining wall on the south side of the field, was made concrete in sight.
One of the most recognizable features of the building is a window of 3.2 x 4.5 m, which is a result of customer desire to have a panoramic view from the living room to an airport, you can see planes taking off or landing .
