Shenzhen Cultural Complex – Mecanoo
Mecanoo was awarded first place to build the Shenzhen Cultural Complex, A project that includes two museums (science and arts), youth center, library and a public plaza between the most important components of the program. The total reaches 90,000 square meters.
The Dutch Mecanoo, offer a line of red blocks which are leaving spaces in between that allow pedestrian traffic. The objective of this project is to integrate the park with Longcheng Longgang business sector, achieving a seamless interaction and creating a connection between the cultural sectors – commercial.
