Science Park of Granada – OAB

Most projects dealing with surveying developments that I know tend to end up replacing the continuous quality of the cover by a succession of plans, or ribs (frames varying forms.) In this way, space and constructive autonomy as a continuous cover, become a sequential relationship of interconnected spaces, ending in his final speaking as the last section of a porch.

In the project for the Science Park in Granada, in its location along the river Genil and the city disjointed, it is proposed the construction of a single deck, with slight inflections, and with an envelope that looks like an open hand , accommodates the different parts of the program through his fingers, thus keeping the spatial continuity.

The empty space that connects the large boxes that contain the various programs, macroscope Biodome, tecnoforo in Hall in Al-Andalus, auditoriums and spaces for temporary exhibitions and permanent-structure, communications, logistics and interior-exterior relationship with the all park activities.

The proposed spatial structure allows complete flexibility of use to set up situations and thematic tours that weave.

A continuous plane bending fleet to ten meters high, covering the major exhibition spaces and highlighting them with the light entering its folds.
In its abstraction, the large deck offers a profile that recalls the skyline of the mountains of Granada. In Granada, the resolution of the large deck topographic about 3 ha (30,000 m2) in area, is adapting to the needs volumetric generated inside closed spaces of large dimension and height that will house the various programs.

The housing plan on building a new ground topography, when folded, organized within its folds the skylights that provide natural light to the spaces between connection and circulation.

The mesh cover is resolved with a double-layer three-dimensional structure that includes technical systems and networks and solve the drainage facilities and storm drainage. The folds are raised ridges of the skylights as a continuation of the main structure.
