The sports center Rugvica primary school was built in a small town to serve the primary school and local residents. The existing school was there to be taken as fact, and as such, she showed no respect to the project. The distance between the existing school and the new sports center was one response. The other way was through the use of a pitched roof, common architectural element in the vicinity.
The porch, the changing rooms and sports hall have ceilings with three different inclinations. That makes this, rather than as a large building, closer to the scale of surrounding houses. At the same time, this type of roof makes the three parts of the room in one complex. Gabled addition, the brick facade is another element commonly used in this setting.
The porch connects the school with the entrance hall sports center, guiding the user to input. Dress areas and rooms for teachers are located on the ground floor. Above this space, in the first level, a small fitness room with its own dressing. Viewers can climb the stairs to a gallery from which to enter the stands. Below these is the storage equipment gymnastic and space for mobile stands.
The sports center has a total of 300 seats. It has the dimensions of a handball court, but can be divided into three smaller fields the size of a basketball. A large glass wall North is oriented for maximum light and the least sun.
