Richard Hywel Evans Study RHE unveiled images of the innovative project for Solta Island ResortFirst rotating Hotel Europe. The hotel will be built among the olive trees on a hill on the island of SoltaIn Croatia, and will consist of a three-story building with sea views from every room. The new resort, to be built just 35 minutes by boat from Split, will rotate in a huge lake, a waterfall, descend to the underlying spa hillside.
Guests will be subject to constant change of view on the Adriatic Sea, the lush countryside and the Aquarius Roman remains of Diocletian.
The diameter of 61 meters of the hotel on three floors will rotate at a speed of 1.3 times a day and will contain a Hubs Central static 22 meters, which will include a reception, lifts and a circular staircase linking the floors. Customers will have access to the facility from the area below that do not rotate.

On the ridge overlooking the Marina, guests can enjoy private spaces in Guest Pavilions bounded by walls of slate, glass and pools are all covered with aluminum reflector.
Four rooms in the residence will have perimeter walls of stone and will be immersed in olive groves. The accommodation will consist of a series of private spaces characterized by interlocking glass cylinders which are enclosed in the trees growing out of the pool.

The new marina for 120 boats, with a stage for performances, a yacht club and a Marina VillageWas designed to create a living area overlooking the water. The whole development area will also below the bay a connection between the Sunset Beach Bar and the Hillside Villas.

We are proud to have built a cutting-edge project with the practical needs of the specific site: in this case, each guest had to be put in a position to enjoy a breathtaking view … and that is what makes our hotel rotating”.

The project was commissioned by the developer RHE Croatian profectus The Group has successfully developed the Croatia Boat Show and Property Show and owns 80 km2 north of Dubrovnik which is ending its largest building project on the Adriatic coast.
