Registration Office San Vicente has been recently completed and is located along the northern coast of the island of Madeira, Portugal. The building was designed by Portuguese architect Duarte Caldeira.
It is a wood and glass building arranged on several rectangular concrete boxes, previously used as a kiosk in a local city park.
On an underground parking garage, the transparent building frees the cross to the mountain views and allows natural light inside. This is a unique space bisected by a reception, which separates the general public of office space.
Existing volumes intersect with the walls of glass and coated now with volcanic basalt stones, collected in the area. They operate as private offices and service areas.
Inside, the floor and window frames are black, contrasting with the wooden roof and pillars that support the construction field.
