R1D House by a3gm architects

The building is located on the block R1 29.01.1A AU Burgos, sponsored by the Consortium for Alternative Management Railway. Since the approach of the contest gives special importance to the sustainability criteria and energy efficiency.

The proposal developed from the analysis of the situation of the two orientations of the main facade as a certain equivalence: northwest and central courtyard / southeast and street. The thirty houses between one and four-bedroom place in the six plants with a certain randomness to allow variable access and a volumetric treatment of the facades. The corridor of access to housing through the block longitudinally from the stairwell to the front opposite a shift differential to the outside boxes in the four intermediate levels.

On the ground floor are the local street facade and adapted housing to open courtyard. The penthouse floor is delayed with respect to the plane of the facade and allows the emergence of a shared terrace.

The houses are made by grouping: the elements of the program are the same and different types are produced by combining the kitchen units, dining room, master bedroom and secondary bedrooms associated with storage space.
