Lindsay Brown and his plan to revitalize the coast San Diego , continues to push its project that brings new life on the edge of urban areas through the implementation of a space public pedestrian , his firm has designed major projects of smaller scale.
The project, which is located in St. Croix in the Islands U.S. Virgin , was inspired by the passion of the customer for navigation and using weather conditions the site to bring many design elements , such as: suckers , swimming pools, areas covered and guidance.
A sharp bend of the residence fits perfectly into the context of the site , resulting in a bold , integrating and giving character to the project. The house encourages users to interact with each other and their environment, moving through the house and yard.
As the house faces the storms and strong winds, the design needs to withstand the force of the winds and water, must be completely self-sufficient with the field, energy production and storage of drinking water. Special displays were developed to prevent any damage from hurricanes to the windows.
True to the study of sustainable materials and philosophies , materials were chosen specifically to mimic the colors and textures of the rock cliffs that extend to the beaches of coral.
