Pharmacy Placebo - Klab

Office Klab shared with us one of his last projects built, pharmacy Placebo in Athens. In this proposal, the architects wrapped the “footprint” orthogonal existing skin through a circular dynamic that rises and falls depending on time of day.

In this way succeeded in designing a sophisticated coil coating seeking a relationship with the movement and traffic of the avenue VouliagmenisWhere we can see the work.

At 600 square meters, the structure contains a pharmacy on the ground floor and ancillary offices on the mezzanine. The lining of perforated metal panels, through Braille, refers to the use of pharmaceutical packaging system and increases the visibility and natural light to enter inside.

The quality of the composition and selection of material creates a shiny exterior that attracts passers-by and interior, perforated metal filled with natural light specks of venues and illuminates a continuous ramp that connects the two floors as externally generated.

In plan, the pharmacy is disposed in a radial pattern from the boxes as a focal point, the product counters fan out from this point allowing the tellers have a total view of the pharmacy.

The storage of medicines, preparation areas and bathrooms are also organized outside this radial pattern. This model provides a natural flow in the central and allows light to enter deeply throughout the day.
