Palms Residence is located in an urban area close to Venice, California. The house looks inward, adding decks and a small covered patio space, giving the structure a sense of privacy beyond their location in a land fill.
Composed of 14 modules, the 260 m2 of the home include 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a living room / dining room, kitchen with a double-height skylight operable, an office and additional 65 m2 of outdoor area. Large glass panels on the south side of the structure the house filled with natural light and connect the indoor and outdoor.
The house includes unique walnut furniture in the living room and kitchen, concrete floors on the first floor and wood floors in the second. The rooms have beds built on the site and additional furniture. The exterior of the house is finished with cedar wood. A number of techniques of display, including landscape, fences and glass panels, hand guard the street while keeping the open feeling of the house.
The house includes a variety of sustainable features such as recycled steel frames, structural insulated panels prefabricated triple glass panels, materials, environment friendly and natural cooling. The house was produced in the plant MRP, reducing the environmental impact of its construction.
