Its modern curvilinear geometries and white as the predominant color, contrasted by the bright red of some elements, reminiscent of the interior design of Clockwork Orange or 2001 Space Odyssey. But it’s not the design of a new film by Stanley Kubrick, but the Palabritas Beach House, A beach house recently completed in Peru designed by Peruvian architect Jose Orrego study Metropolis.
The house is situated on the coast of Lima, near the sea. Its soft curves, typical of Brazilian sixties, “frame” the breathtaking view of the beach and on nearby islands. The exterior architecture is designed by a white box sopralevata overlooking the beach. Here you find an outdoor pool area, whose bright red mosaic cladding contrasts with the white curved frame. The outer surface has a grid pattern, with openings that give transparency to interior spaces without sacrificing the necessary privacy. Full height sliding glass doors allow seamless integration of the terrace with the living area. The rooms in the sleeping area, fitted at the level below, all face an interior courtyard for maximum privacy. The master bedroom is located on the first floor instead, designed to offer a spectacular ocean view.
