Street NikolaiplatzWhere is located the building, was taking its present form through a process of restructuring and development over time. Although the architectural style and building density was changed, the open condition of this field is kept stable.

Increased density in the area forced the architects to design a building to respond to this context, quite heterogeneous, defining a limit to one side – Street Nikolaiplatz – And a more open towards the street Entenplatz.

In response to the requirements of a complex urban planning, we designed a building of fair measures that it generated a powerful and attractive image despite its technical and economic efficiency.

Thus, the building becomes a sculpture by the same simplicity. On a structural steel, light panels were arranged as a wall, interspersed with glass openings of the same dimensions.

This creates a multifaceted and playful facade, which provides a good light to interior spaces, while the closure elements or “walls” are also a utility for offices, and shelving. The height of the building fits the overall height of the neighborhood.

With its location in this place, it creates a gap between high-density area and an open space next to a river, with views to both sides from the inside.
