Nieuw Leyden House / 24H> architecture

Within the urban plan of Nieuw Leyden, office 24H> architecture designed two green homes. The entire apartment complex. consists of 18 houses designed by different architects. There is no regulation of the commission with respect to the aesthetics, so that future owners are free to design their homes in their own way, as long as they fit into the housing complex.

The density of the area is very high and the width of the street is minimal. To offer its inhabitants natural lighting during the day, entered the inner courtyard project. The patio flows through the house and holds the ladder is oriented so that light enters the lower floors.

The courtyard walls are used to divide the house. The inner courtyard is present in all rooms. If the homeowner wants, the patio can be completely transparent and allow the light of day and close when necessary.
