Modern with a Side of Ranch is house modern renovation and addition to an existing Ranch-style home. This is a Hufft Projects of Kansas City, Missouri.  This contemporary renovation makes a great point of difference betwen  the old and the new. A small vegetated roof is located adjacent to the stairwell and is visible from the upper landing. Interiors of this house is dominant with wood materials. Partition walls that once differentiated living, dining, and kitchen spaces, were removed and ceiling vaults expressed. A new kitchen island both defines and complements this singular space.
