METROPOLIS office by Jose Orrego
This building is a unique proposal for the geometry of the facade that stands above other buildings of similar characteristics for treatment of aluminum plate and laminated glass composite black. The composition of the façade gives it a contemporary and unique image where you can appreciate the different levels that are the building but with different treatments on each floor allowing each office to have a particular treatment.
The discontinuity of the stripes on the facade based on widths, makes the elevation in an artistic composition distinct from the traditional curtain wall facades. As a project located on a lot mediator, the facade work around a mark that allows a transition between the neighboring buildings and the proper treatment of the facade, using an aluminum shutters as a transition.
By having the first two floors dedicated to parking, we worked with the same aluminum blinds to create a difference between building functions. The hall has been treated as the name of the building is read inside with a graphic treatment along the wall, this treatment guides the visitor toward the elevators. Light has been the focus of this space.
Inside there has been a very visual composition that highlights a cube red, warm, sunlit treatment slots in the ceiling with light recession. The service desk has worked with a lighting effect so that it appears as a light box with stripes in white and red colors that accompanies the overall color scheme. Some mirror the geometry of the facade topped the interior space.
