The year 2008 will count on the start of construction of project construction Metropol ParasolFor urban renewal in the Plaza de la Encarnacion in Sevilla, Spain. On Friday March 25, 2011 was opened and the photographer Javier Orive shared with us new images of the completed proposal.

Designed by J. H. Mayer ArchitectsThis bill becomes a new icon for Sevilla, – a place that tries to empower identification Sevilla as one of the most fascinating cultural world.

Metropol Parasol explores the potential of the Plaza de la Encarnación to become a new modern urban center, its role as a unique urban space within the dense fabric of the medieval city of Seville allows a variety of recreational and commercial activities.

Through an impressive wooden structure, gives the city a museum, a marketplace, an elevated plaza, bars and restaurants underneath and inside the umbrellas, and a panoramic terrace on the top of the parasols.
