This project illustrates the opportunity to understand the contribution each individual design gesture makes to the larger urban design of the neighborhood and the city. This mixed-use project involves a cafe/bar on the first floor and a dance academy on the second level bringing the public and private together.
The design concept of this mixed-use project was to use the building as a connector between two different scenarios, one more active and the other more passive.
The building has a main courtyard to activate the street edge where the integration between the two building uses takes place.
