Apartment Building in Akasaka, Fukuoka – Speace

This project is an apartment building located in a residential area cerana the center of Fukuoka in Japan. It has 14 housing units. Our client wanted a building that was “love at the time.” We conclude a “diamond-shaped tower, after a large number of studies.

In order to be wanted for a long time was required the following 4 points:

- High Roof

- Vista

- Lighting and ventilation of two or more sides

- High resistance to earthquakes

This sounds like something ordinary, but are the contents that should be fit to be slaughtered by the issue of economic rationality (the digestion of higher capacity, cost minimization) in the design of a building for rent in Japan.

At first we thought about making a tall building to ensure the high ceilings and views. The shade regulation defined the upper limit of the height on this site. As a result of studying the various ways of building, find the location and shape of the plant, which would allow a building as high as we wanted.

We put the building on the south side of the field as much as possible, and draw the shade plant-diamond, which defined the angles of the faces of the north and south at the angle of solar radiation at winter solstice 8 am. Moreover, the distance from the border with the land on the north side, there is a feeling of fullness in the first level.
