Levi Strauss The school is located in the heart of a new urban growth from their former homes, warehouses and the port of Lille in northern France. The main building is housed in the urban boulevard, the main hall, highly transparent is open in the front of the square, giving an institutional character to school, playing a major role in the city. The main entrance is through a porch at the intersection of the boulevard and the Rue Lestiboudois Lorraine.
The main playground is very sunny and protected from winds with lots of greenery. Open to the playground, is the entrance to the dining hall and the club. Facilities dedicated to students, these spaces are designed as spaces in the brick facing trees playground.
At the top of the playground located on the south side, science classrooms provide a great view of nearby urban environment. Connecting these specialized classrooms, the library occupies a central position on the first floor with direct access from the lobby of the school.
Alignment asymmetric square windows of various sizes bring light into classrooms and give great views of the city students. In the southern part of the land, outdoor sport facilities and a fitness function independently.
As in many regions in northern Europe, the brick is the only material used on the facades. The architects wanted to round corners to see the school is smooth, no sharp angles. The bricks are placed in 3 bands corresponding to the 3 level changes of the building that creates open spaces and identifies student access.
