Lever House by Marc Newson
Lever House is a structure created in the early ’50s to house the offices of Lever Brothers soap company which produced English. Over half a century later, after a period of closure was brought to life by the genius of Marc Newson , the well-known Australian designer, who worked next to what is now the headquarters of the “Lever House Art Collection.”
The result is one of the finest restaurants in New York Italian cuisine (Milan, specifically) and an environment that is almost the essence of retro style. Looking at the picture seems to be on the set of Mad Men : wallpaper , furniture and details fully recovered and copied by the glorious years when the club was born.
The furnishings are the work of ‘ interior decorator American William Georgis. The concept is co-founder Gerard Guarducci and Dimitri Pauli, owner of American chain restaurants “Sant Ambroeus. The pictures you see on the walls are of ‘some’ Andy Warhol. I am nineteen, to be exact. Original.
