After 10 years of lease in a corporate office building, the Lance Armstrong Foundation found its permanent headquarters in a warehouse on the 1950 in the area east of Austin, a neighborhood in the process of revitalization. The design seeks to convey a new energy in both the building and in the neighborhood. Looking to get LEED Gold certification, the project reflects the mission of the foundation in the connection between people, communities and the environment.

Opening its facade and the roof, the design team managed to flood the house with natural light, creating a “neighborhood” dynamic interior spaces. The design also highlighted the existing laminated wood beams and interior architectural elements.
