This department was designed for a filmmaker, it is reinterpreted Baroque configuration San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, by proposing an architecture of film sequences and views. In the Baroque, the use of “virtual poche ‘is used to hide service areas and at the same time generate an air of mystery and surprise.
The apartment is located on the top floor of a mixed-use building with 11 floors, original Art Deco hotel. In fact, many departments and halls are inspired by the Art Deco style. The owners of the upstairs units, however, chose to design their own spaces.
Department Building height (4.6 m), generating a second level, while maintaining the original height in common use spaces such as living and dining room. The main idea was to try this place, as a pseudo space – exterior, leaving all the private spaces and services, content behind a large oak veneer wall. The department has access to a roof terrace.
The private spaces are worked using, as I mentioned, the strategy porch. In an L-shaped rooms are arranged at both ends, provided the owner with a loft-like setting. To highlight the contrast between the surface of the wooden wall and the spaces it contains, the interior walls are painted blue. The bathrooms and bedrooms have a unique color acquired a unique personality. The work of some parts of the facade of wood, drilling mode, the design gives an air of lightness.
