JE House by Humberto Hermeto

The project is located on uneven ground of 3.160 m2 and has two uses: The first is a home of great footage , which with much larger spaces for daily living and the second is to use a gallery , which was part of a customer’s requirements because of its taste for art.

The irregularity of the land was the main guide for the design of this house as there were variations of up to 10 meters in the vertical. Because of this , the proposal was to distribute applications on different levels.

In the lower gallery. With the need for air conditioning to the enclosed space volume emerges as if it were a rocky platform. In the upper house. With the need to capture the views of the environment in the best way , housing is distributed under a sky 81 meters continuously , which is built entirely of reinforced concrete.

The distribution of spaces and openings to the outside allow each place has a view of the environment. Communication between different levels of the house is made through a central core that contains an elevator. Connects the first level of the gallery with the level of housing. At an intermediate level connected services and the garage floor .
