This home of over 200 m2 is designed for a young family leaves the city to the country. In an obvious contrast to urban housing, the new site gives the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular scenery and friendly atmosphere. The design strategy seeks to maximize the exposure inside the home to the bright bosquosos environments. The land has a terraced slope, and is covered with large oaks, they provide a privacy screen for a house essentially transparent.
The first design decision was to extend the primary program in a bar width of 4.8 meters by 30.5 meters long, growing adjacent to the outer perimeter. This bar is embedded along the slope, sloping roofs, mimics the gradient of the land in an effort to mix the primary mass housing in the countryside. The bar is reflected in its longitudinal axis to create an outdoor area bounded by a high retaining wall. The strategy, combined with the large windows are operable and the visual effect of doubling the width of floor space.
The bar is subjected to a formal changing of the division between public and private areas. While the public program is developed as an extremely open pavilion in the private zone geometry basic modular original bar changes to an area opposite to the perpendicular orientation. Several symmetries are involved, reflecting the area of the master suite into a private spa terrace, and generating a modified butterfly roof.
Access to housing also functions as a slide through the house, marking the public and private areas. Here, outer space, penetrates the interior, and the procession from outside-inside-and out-denuevo is monumentalised as a totally transparent, tying the house into the landscape. The walls and ceiling are considered as a continuous skin that surrounds the interior with various degrees of porosity. Throughout the house, floor and interior partitions are unified as a single system, a single material. Hold spaces and objects float in the center of the bar, emphasizing the ambiguous relationship with the outside perimeter.
