The client hopes to build a house on his land where the main building, built in the traditional way is for a young couple. There is a residential section in the suburb, next to the wall of a shop floor. This pumice stone is a native of that town. In this area isolated by the large stone wall, the relationship between the new house and the existing main house is different from a relationship with the other houses and the neighborhood.

The close relationship should be strong and not completely open. It is an ambiguous relationship. Feeling a sign of life among them, and enjoy a beautiful garden. But the new home must be considered its own privacy.

We wanted to generate ambiguous, varying from place to place. We make ambiguous and variation, obscuring the windows and generating an access. The glass facade is opaque glass and glass intervals gradually changing, face the light and wind, maneuvering the views from a variety of edge strength from the strongest to the weakest and vice versa.

The inside of the glass windows reminiscent of an access traditional Japanese house, and is a buffer zone to make the boundary between inside and outside smooth. The interior space weakens while the strengthened relationship with a private color little by little, like a spiral shell. The interior space converge in a spiral private space. The limits vary gradually and subtly connecting two families living peacefully in a single field
