House Small Box – Akasaka Shinichiro Atelier

The house is built on the western slope of Mount Moiwa with views of the city of Sapporo, Japan.

For the casual lifestyle of customers, and the requirement of having a part of the house that later became a cafe, it was proposed create a flexible space that works as a support events, and the birth of a new child or the opening of the cafe where various scenes of daily life coexist with reasonable distances within a large vacuum.

The floor, stairs, walls and curtains allow the passage of light and reflect it, creating a Light and bright interior for each stage of life where the directions and requirements of residents continually flow without distraction.

All Inside the house has been covered with wooden planks, and the structure of beams and steel columns that difference was painted white spacesTo enhance and maximize the effect of light.

Where is the space of relaxation, as the living room for the family? May be near the kitchen? Or on the second level?

Different heights on the ceiling and the various openings are designed to allow owners to find these in the large empty spaces. A system of vertical wooden staircases linking the three levels.
