This home built in Gandarinha, Vila de Cucujães, Portugal and it was designed by Carlos Castanheira. This house located in forest area, and to compare this house with the environment, wood materials is perfect choice. The exterior covering is constituted by wonderful manufactured copper, glass and slate on the floor areas adjacent to the interior floors. The front room, located in the intersection between two bodies has a higher ceiling and establishes a connection between the private area and the communal area. They try to use a slope area being a ground floor room, for use by the family’s children and their friends. They built a bridge to connect the original profile of the land (a terrace) and the landscape below.
