The proposal arises from a non-form, which integrate different elements in it, and the understanding of the environment and the architectural program, which separated into 2 parts: a housing and a job. The land surrounded by important visual points of the city and oriented with respect to the cardinal points, so the house and workshop established as an island in the field. This led to think that windows and blocks targeted to the above views, and to have thus two types of gardens.
The project is to distinguish materials architectural agenda items and create a bridge that divides the working area of the housing area. Thus, the scheme raised with a white rectangular prism, parallel to the axis east – west, which houses the public areas and circulation areas in which inserted two modules: the first, in particular, headed south which becomes in the master bedroom, and second, to brick, north facing which generates a studio office. Finally a transparent bridge connects the house with the paint shop. The last volume is a black rectangular prism parallel to the north – south axis.
The idea is to make clear from the architectural program to differentiate visually, finished modules for the same materials, each with different heights, depending on their use, providing thermal and acoustic qualities, and different feelings and experiences. The public block contains the dining room, kitchen, living room and the circulation, which becomes a double form libraries and providing a dual function.
The floor finished in polished concrete, joined the project in its entirety. The windows were planned to be addressed promptly to the different views around the ground and thus thought as an element that could be identified in the project, beyond that each has different dimensions, which allows us to frame and create visual points more features such as seats that allow for more reflection.
