Study work-family housing RTA-Office , with offices in Barcelona and Shanghai. This home designed by architect Santiago Parramón is characterized by its location in an area with steep slopes and a creek running through it. A slightly hilly terrain, rocky terrain and the preservation of most of the trees were the guidelines of the project. The objective was to occupy minimal Santiago Parramón releasing the site over the stream to pass freely through the ground, just below the house, and left clutching the sound of water in its passage, the scent given off by vegetation, textures All this added up to the emotional side that the architect had intended that the project.

Finally we decided to leave the site intact and supporting an object, a large volume that rests on a minimal surface. The house just makes contact with the ground through a small central core. The dimension of the archaeological work was a foundation on which to act as true surgeons to minimize the impact to the substrate. The core incorporates an internal staircase that extends into the deck, where two beams are launched towards the end of the building. The floors of the lower floors are supported by the central nucleus and are released to find the straps that hang from the roof beams. The house is hung.

The objective of the project Parramón is to be understood as a unitary object, so that the entire program and interaction with the outside world is occurring inside. It’s about creating space within an object, an object “cut” to which he made a series of insights that cross vertically, horizontally and transversely and which, like mine tunnels, we communicate with the outside. These tunnels are completely covered, both floors, roofs and walls, blue quartzite.

The interior and exterior of the house are white and each and every one of the interactions that occur between the interior and exterior are resolved with the same material: blue quartzite, and which by its nature provides a gentle reflection allowing nature into the interior. Only white and blue: body piercing.

In this way the landscape, as well as seen through the glass surface of the end of the corridor, is reflected in a kaleidoscopic projecting inward. One of these corridors vertical shaft that serves as natural light allows observation of the stream from the main rooms, which are located at different levels, look out to see how it goes. The interior is bathed in natural light, spaces are continuous and comprehensive. You can feel the full magnitude in size. The light color looks a purported foreign object contrast with the vegetation. When she and the trees will grow over the years, may reach the ultimate goal of the architect, housing discover hidden behind the trees. This is a Home-Study. The program is arranged in three levels. The main floor is at the top level and just below it lies the ground of the bedrooms on the top level houses the ancillary services.
