Hosaka Takeshi Architects, design this modern building. Fuji Mountain was influence the development of this project. The building assume the characteristics of mountains and clouds that surround it, we design a smooth geometry and free points on a polygonal mesh. The result was a main area of ??530 m2, 140 m2 50 m2 kitchen and service through a clean white cover that surrounds the space and reopened to the outside.
The building has no air condition, it is always opening during most months of the year, creating an outdoor environment indoors. The disclosures of curved acrylic sliding, close only during the colder seasons and when the wind is strong. The shell is 60 mm thick urethane insulation on the outside and keeps a stable temperature inside the restaurant. For lighting, the architects have defined a system to gently illuminate the night without calling the insects around the light.
It sought to create a close relationship between nature and the users of the building when it rains, water carried around the windows and doors, allowing people to enjoy the sounds of their drops. Similarly, when there is fog, it enters the building. When it is snowing, the building buried in the snow and a part of it, filled with birds and animals. This provides a building that unites nature and art, giving way to a restaurant that in addition to its menu based on natural ingredients.
