The resort has the character of a new establishment, organizing the volumes around a plaza ordered from the existing almond placed in a grid of 5 × 5 meters. The proposed architectural device is curved according to the existing building as almond grove “pictures” and the landscape perimeter aisles. The central plaza keeps the cold in winter caused by the wind that occurs in the plains and in turn functions as a space cool in summer, since it does not alter the existing conditions of the original irrigated plot, and parts are close together producing the necessary shade at this latitude.
The architecture rises from the floor like a flower through lightweight tiles that prevent the capillarity of the perimeter walls. In turn, the design of the central plaza is oriented so that leaks occur, ie slabs proposals are “broken” so that there is overlap between the natural ground and the upper surface, minimizing heating and without altering the process to be followed by natural water.
The whole proposal has a root Mediterranean architectural design is a contemporary reading of vernacular culture in integrating the common sense and economy of means. The white and the “little corners” define the proposal at the plastic.
