Home Jareg by CVDB architects
The house located in an area of ??8 x 40 feet, in the historic urban fabric of the Cartaxo town in Portugal. The project has a central courtyard and a garden that allows the light through all the rooms in the house along the day. This central courtyard is a important element with the structure of the house.
The project explores the length of the site, allow residents to enjoy the different spaces and time display, walk or move through the shaft, a main route of the project.
The house and garden are part of the same space in form, in the rooms of the house, you can enjoy the outdoor and indoor spaces. This is also shown by a white wall that brings together the movement and the different areas of the ground floor. The family’s social areas are located on the ground floor.
The staircase connect the two floors were converted into a visual filter from the entrance, living room and garden.
Large glass elements are used in the household, related well to the indoor garden. The north is facing a courtyard that provides light to the kitchen and a small office.
