Henley Street House - Jackson Clements Burrows


The request was made by a young family to the JCB office to design your new home replacing an old two-story building in 1950, in very bad condition.

The design proved to be very sculptural and emerged from the conversation with customers, who jokingly called a planetarium as part of the house.

In this way, the house is wrapped in a skin of vertical boards of cedar wood, providing privacy and sun protection. These seem to emerge from the gate in front intentionally producing a confused relationship between built form and landscape.
