The Chalet H was designed to fold into the rugged landscape of Faqra Club , on Mount Lebanon, is a vacation home designed for a family of four with an accent towards the activities of the parents. Underlying hidden games , exhibition, contemplation and hint form the dynamics of the program . The base housing is interspersed in the landscape with the use of the ancestral language of local stone terraces to use the slopes of this agricultural land. The local stone and rustic finishes working with the simplicity and purity of form, relating to the project in its rural neighborhood , highlighted by the presence of massive limestone rocks . The side walls are almost blind to ensure privacy from the neighborhood, with minimal openings to access side terraced gardens .
The house is read as two concrete boxes located on the terraced landscape . The displacement volume responds to the limitation of constructive land plus the benefits of opening at different angles to the stunning views , with the best of them to the master bedroom. The circulations in the home run , direct and indirect internal and external . The inmate is integrated in a service bar that anchors all levels. The outer circulation is more like a walk down the different levels of terraces and gardens of the house. A third ladder ” secret ” connects the main living area to the game room in the area of foundations. The dining area boasts a double height and is visually connected to the main room through a big hole in the slab.
