The most important and the inspiration for this project is the same location, with high quality vegetation, which is densely distributed throughout the area and gradually thins to the east side. The idea of ??a new pavilion / restaurant is build a space designating the area of ??trees of high quality and defining the rest of the construction. By bringing this green territory “clipped” in the air space “below” is automatically created. The formal basis and the functional element and a temporal regulator of light, is what is called the Pavilion “Vegetative” which has formed along the entire length of the roof edge.
Open atrium spaces that allow light to enter all parts of the building and provide visual and physical connections with the natural environment, were created to increase the transparency of the area around the trees. The grand atrium is the main entrance a meeting place, an outdoor terrace and a main entrance to all areas of the building.
The two main restaurants (canteen Ya’la carte) are next to the two main courts building. The dining room faces Forest Park and sliding doors allow its expansion to the external environment. The offices of the Association Students and multifunctional hall are part of this volume, which allows the flag to be built in stages.
Small temporary buildings and greenhouses that have always been present throughout the campus, as part of the culture of the faculty have served as inspiration for the housing units with 10 apartments have been built on the concept of the project. departments are designed as separate volumes raised as places for privacy. The areas with different plants, which can also be used for educational purposes, were formed around the apartment, on the surface of the roof.
The idea is to create a sustainable home, which will help the environment in every way – with the materials, construction and structure. In the design, was given a special meaning to the natural lighting and ventilation, which further reduces energy requirements for artificial lighting, heating and cooling. The roof and cover are excellent large heat registers, and adds to the thick protective cover that protects from the cold in winter and heat in summer.
Landscape design is an integral part of the basic concept of architecture and the whole plot. Most of the roof surface is covered with typical succulent roof garden, other areas are organized into regular shapes inspired by the plots of land plant. These regular shapes down small roads communicators and leisure areas for customers and users of the canteens.
In the kitchens of the restaurants is prepared and served every day approximately 1500 food rations. All work spaces and services are organized on one level – the ground floor, to enable the ideal functionality and access to all drives. One of the particularities of the kitchen is full contact with the outer space.
