A modern art gallery, located in a field. The museum’s facilities shine like a traffic signal, when viewed from an angle. he building of the gallery creates a village of old farmhouses adjacent to the house of the owners, together representing three centuries of tradition in construction. Situated atop an artificial hill, as a barrier to moisture in the soil of the site, the base of the building follows the topology of the hill. The result of a series of curves at the base of the building, along with the curvature of the roofs, facades makes the plans appear to curve.

The facades have been painted white and the application of three tons of special reflective glass beads. The treatment of the beads, developed by artist Mikael Pauli, works in a reflective component similar to zebra crossings. If viewed from the same angle as the source of incident light, shining as if lit from within. So when you drive on the building, like a bright flash.

This effect can be created overnight. Is seen if the building and lighting from the lights of cars or as shown in the photos attached, where two 150 watt lamps project – a red, a color of blue light – the front changes from different angles. The relatively narrow door and window openings, extending from floor to ceiling, make the built-scale is difficult to judge. Appear smaller at a distance, but up close is raised to a height of 6.7 meters. Their positions correlate with positions inside walls and windows on the opposite side of the building, creating lines of vision from side to side.

The elevated position of museum facilities raises the floor level to level with the tops of the surrounding cultures.
