We have designed a small building and transparent to the Fire Department in the complex Houten Kruisboog. Existing surrounding buildings were a major source of inspiration. Wood and transparent materials were used for greenhouse construction, applied to contemporary fashion with many details, it became a building. In the translucent garage is a fire truck ready for action.
When the building is in use, gives a glimmer of light analogous to the greenhouses. The use of transparent materials allows the activities of the firefighters are always alert and watching. Despite the fragility of the materials of the facades, the overall construction is pretty solid. The appearance of wood siding contributes to the robust quality of the building.
The building is compared to a diamond that shines a lot, but at the same time very hard.
