UCSF is located in Guadalupe, a neighborhood garden of Santa Fe, whose distinctive features are the dense forest, low building density and use their neighbors make the street as a meeting between neighbors. In this context, the UCSF building with its 12,000 m2 existing architecture is distinguished by a discordant scale regarding the environment. The book proposes to recreate in its expression and its spatial attributes some of the identity of Guadalupe: the vegetation and the mode of appropriation of public space. The new building brings the environmental character of the neighborhood streets within their areas by using vegetation, both on the facade as an environmental filter as in the heart of enlargement with the presence of a pink lapacho. Also, an open and transparent ground floor offers a new dialogue between the building and the city, as an interaction between the central courtyard and the street.
