Edificio Mirador Pocuro Architecture by SEARLE PUGA Arquitectos

The assignment to develop department specific segments in the housing market, required to refine the look the accumulated experience from previous projects. Search for generating units at two levels, allowing rich, smooth spatial, considering a bounded but extensible program within itself, with noble materials and contemporary design. The building looks Republic of Cuba Street in the west, also opened moderately to the north and south, but causes a severe enclosure to the east, responding to the environment and minimizing the impact of neighboring buildings.

The units are housed in a box of 34 meters wide by 22 fund and 13 feet high, strung with vertical planes that meet at the top, structuring units of the top two floors. The box rests on piers that allow parallel alignment and transparency at the street level, from the public until the building’s interior.

Smaller departments are spread between floors 2 and 5, the larger projected on the floor 6 and 7 independent terraces with outlets on the cover and connected to a pool for community use.
An open central courtyard, 6.5 x 6.5 meters in plan and the entire height of the building, illuminated with natural light peripheral circulation that leads to each department. On one side, facing the elevators, a plane containing the box scale, discreetly drilled in memory of the bell tower of the Sacred Heart of the Forest, the neighborhood landmark and reference.
