Few cities in the world have the privilege of having a monument, the proportions of the ruins of Huanchaca, in the Centre of the city. Project Casino Enjoy Antofagasta and the desert Hotel, is located south of the city, in the sector Huanchaca ruins. This area was a total State of abandonment and uncoupled from the city, contradictory situation with the enormous cultural and heritage value of the ruins.
Generating a large civic space between both buildings. He then chose to configure a “monumental” features content from the ruins and the new building, integrating the whole to the urban fabric of the city through the prolongation of the Av. Angamos as North-South Road axis, via structuring of the city.
To achieve this objective the building It was designed to face to the ruins, as a succession of volumes lined with different material that are intended to define the intermediate space between the buildings.
