Data Center In Milan by AMA – Albera Monti & Associati

A data center that was obsolete has been rejuvenated and re-assembled with high-tech offices. Construction was completed in less than 11 months, including extensive demolition, adding floors and new volumes, the total redesign of the internal circulation and distribution of work areas, the implementation of updated equipment, building a second plant and underground parking. The project has evolved through the design development of numerous studies, particularly in the northern sector of the building.

The office complex (3 buildings partially connected, 9 floors) with a total of 20,000 square meters, 12,000 of which are offices, now receives 800 workstations, meeting rooms and support, a cafe and outdoor terraces . The start was designed to accommodate the needs of the tenant, the relocation of the Bank’s headquarters Italease but the spaces designed to ensure maximum flexibility in future use, including use of multiple users.

With minimalist accessories, full walls of glass and light colors are typical of offices, while the stronger tones are used to connect a visual way workspace to support different areas. The redevelopment of the surrounding area involves the transformation of a parking lot into a pedestrian plaza and garden. This new square was divided into green setting with grass, green walls and a playground, and a stage “dry” with pergolas and trellises covered with vines like vegetation.
