Continuous Wall House / Akitoshi Ukai. AUAU

This house is located in Kasugai city and was commissioned by a young couple and their two children. The land is between dividing, closed to the east, west and south, therefore, to be open only to the north, the entry of natural light became one of the main themes.

It was thought zoning through walls repeated throughout the house. These walls are perforated to allow the transfer of light through the sites that appear in three dimensions.

Thanks to this might add a second level that rises gradually generating intermediate spaces to areas of greater privacy.

The house has two bedrooms in their north and south (the main room to the north and the more sheltered children to the south), two open space as a family room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.

Despite being a compact house, the operation through the perforated walls creates more space and visually continuous extending beyond its actual limits. The first wooden wall over access and covers 50% of the façade allowing the transfer of light through the windows of the white back wall.

The light is picked up and amplified, resulting in an open interior, with different levels and furniture that are generated from the same walls and surfaces, built in concrete and wood.
