The clinics are the refurbishment of a 120m2 house medical center specializing in the collection and processing of radiological images with advanced x-ray equipment The project is planned as an experiment to enable simultaneous experience from a technology lab and comfort of a domestic room. At the same time, as a response to two critical situations: the use of high intensity and a minimum area and lack of comfort in the everyday experience of space.
The extensive use of medical activities in a confined space is manifested in traffic on the internal mobility and information management, and loss of privacy in patient procedures. Our first effort was to optimize each of these situations to achieve a reduction of occupied area. This reduction does not lay in the imposition of a rule or the establishment of administrative measures, but in the implementation of technology for the networking . We work closely with experts in networks to increase the speed of information transfer, reduce travel for each procedure and spatializing the idea of ??decentralized work. After raising the technological performance and reorganize the jobs obtained a reduction in overall demand in the office area of ??30%.
We assume the idea of ??reorganizing the space as if it were a piece of urban design. Town planning thought since the conflicting relationship between specific flows, patients and medical equipment. We work on the possibility of building a more seamless experience between both parties so that they could relieve the proximity of conflict zones, promoting density in areas of specialized use and increase the m2 of “public space.”
In other words, the medical team that led to the construction of a smaller lab space, but better equipped, in which to perform procedures 5 times faster than before. For users, the idea of ??a clinic treated as a domestic interior which reduce waiting times and increasing privacy in consultations.
We recognize in the staging of a number of devices the ability to build flexible spatial patterns and the ability to invite users to participate in the event of surprising use in circumventing normal arrangements.
